Barangay Libacao Geographic Features/Location

Libacao is a barangay in the city of Himamaylan, in province of Negros Occidental.The barangay is lead by Brgy. Captain Antonino Emmanuel Rabago Limsiaco known as "Kap Tonichi" and together with his Kagawad's. 

Libacao is have a fertile and rich land which help every farmers to gain a lot of crops every harvest.Libacao is a flat area that can be planted with palay, sugarcane, and fruits that show how abundant and beautiful the land is, also people do not only into planting but also in taking care of different animals and taking care of the natural wealth of the land.

Because of bountiful harvest of people they celebrate in the month of June they hold a celebration in what is called the Lingaw-lingaw festival where the people parade their harvests of fruits, rice and others showing off their abundant harvests. In this celebration, people present their harvest to their own natives and they also have a festival dance that they use the farmers clothes as the festival costume and also they have a fruits that they show as gratitude for the good harvest and offering for giving the rich land to the people.
